The next business Board meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 9:00 AM at the PHA's Central Administrative Office at 555 N. Wabasha Street, Suite 400.

 

2024 PHADA Scholarship Program

Three Scholarships will be awarded.  Applications are due to PHADA (Public Housing Authorities Directors Association) by January 26, 2024.

St. Paul PHA Multifamily Housing Waiting List Opening

The St. Paul Public Housing Agency (St. Paul PHA) will begin accepting online applications for Multifamily Housing apartments with 0-5 bedrooms beginning on March 1, 2023 and continuing until further notice. 

The Multifamily Housing program provides apartments with reduced rent (based on income) to households with low incomes. 

All applications received between 8:00 AM on March 1 and 11:59 PM on March 7 will be randomly sorted (like a lottery), so there is no advantage to applying on the first day. Applications received after March 7, 2023 will be sorted by the date and time received.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE 24 HOURS A DAY STARTING AT 8:00 AM on March 1, 2023 at www.stpha.org

Housing Choice Voucher Program Waiting List

The St. Paul PHA’s Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List is currently closed.   The lottery from the November 2022 waiting list opening is expected to be completed by December 21, 2022.  Applicants must log into their www.waitlistcheck.com account after December 21 to check if they received a spot on the waiting list.

St. Paul PHA Public Housing Waiting List Closing June 20, 2022

Beginning June 20, 2022, and until further notice, the St. Paul Public Housing Agency (PHA) will stop accepting applications for its Low Income Public Housing program.  The PHA will not accept applications for any unit size received after 11:59 PM on June 19, 2022.   

All applications received prior to June 20th will be processed according to the PHA’s approved policies.  The policies include admission preferences for those who live, work or attend school in the City of St. Paul, or who have been accepted for work or school in St. Paul; and for veterans, members of the armed services and their dependents.

The PHA will announce in advance when the waiting list will reopen for new applications.

As permitted by Congress in the CARES Act and implemented by HUD in the PIH Notice 2020-05, the St. Paul PHA has adopted the waivers of policies and procedures below during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Section 8/Housing Choice Voucher Landlord Orientation

Landlord orientation is a free one-hour session that provides both prospective and existing landlords an introduction to how Section 8 works in St. Paul. The sessions are held at the Central Administrative Office on the third floor.
